Le poste

Essential responsibilities and duties:
Within the range of activities of the R&D Center, the jobholder is responsible for the Testing Department – he has the cost / quality / timing responsibility for testing activity. He is in charge of executing test work representing a turnover around 5 M€/year, and is responsible for a test center capital value of around 8M€, and the related annual investment.

His main missions are to :
• Manages and motivates a team of around 100 people (test technicians and test engineers).
• In charge skills development of the team members and therefore ensures the competency level of the Testing team.
• With 6 direct reports, he manages the test requests coming from internal customers (applications, innovation, and métier) with regards to the customer satisfaction, the quality of the deliverables, the operational equipment efficiency and the cost effectiveness.
• In charge of Testing budget preparation, and ensures that the test Center sticks to the budget.
• Represents Testing towards internal and final customers.
• Leads the liaison with the internal customers, and pays attention to give the best support to the development and innovation projects.
• Ensures that the Test Center methods, knowledge and equipments are at the leading level of the industry.
• Leads the investment budget to maintain and develop the test Center equipments and infrastructures, as well as participates actively to the med term investment budget related to Testing.
• Technically drives the plan for modifications and improvements of the facilities, and ensures that all existing equipments and building technologies are duly maintained.
• Promotes and drives the corporate continuous improvement process in the Testing area.
• Is responsible for Health Safety and Environment matters within the Testing area

Le profil

Engineer degree( Engine engineer desirable)
Manager engine engineering

Experience :
- Minimum of 10 years experience, with a focus on people management
- Experience in testing an advantage
- Experience in engine field an advantage

Skills and competencies :

• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of engines and of dynamometer testing an advantage

Fluent English, working French, some German an advantage
